Ice Blue Sky || Concept Art
A couple of the pictures I did during my Art A-Level course. Another version of the story featured the afterlife as a spirit world celebrating a perpetual festival, led by a powerful spirit, but no-one was ever moving on. The girl seeks the spirit of her mother who she knows has not moved on, and in visiting the other side, meets the boy, who also senses the unrest amongst the spirits.
At the time, I just wanted to draw a festival scene! But it led to a whole new story possibility, which is why doing lots of concept art is fun and worthwhile.
